Using the app and reading the condition pages does not require or collect any personally identifiable information. No names, phone numbers, health records, or payment information are transmitted to any server. No login or registration is required.
Optional email newsletter: if you choose to enter your email address in the "Self-care notes by email" form on the condition pages, we collect that email address, your language choice, and the page you signed up from. It is stored by our hosting provider (Netlify Forms) and used only to send you self-care and wellness notes from Dr. Kwang Lee Wellness Center. We do not sell or share it. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing the contact address below.
User preferences (language choice, learning progress, consent record) are stored only in your device's local browser storage (localStorage). They are never transmitted off your device and can be cleared anytime via your browser or device settings.
This app does not use third-party analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.) to track user behavior. No advertising identifiers, cookies for tracking, or device fingerprinting are used.
Certain pages link to external websites such as PubMed (National Library of Medicine) and YouTube for reference material and videos. Please review those sites' privacy policies for information on how they handle your data when you follow such links.
This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is labeled as an adult-oriented medical educational reference.
The app is hosted on Netlify, Inc. Standard web server logs (IP address, user-agent string, timestamp, requested URL) may be generated at the hosting layer for technical infrastructure purposes but are not analyzed, exported, sold, or combined with other data by the app developer.
All content is delivered over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Apart from email addresses submitted voluntarily through the newsletter form, the app does not collect or store personal data.
This app does not target children under 13, does not knowingly collect data from children, and is therefore not subject to COPPA data-collection requirements. Parents who believe a child is using the app should supervise use as with any educational health reference.
